An afternoon @ Mega Lane on 14th June 2009

From Bowling at Mega Lane

We went to Mega Lane for my hubby's company bowling tournament last Sunday. It has been ages since the last time he played in one. The tournament should have started at 2.30pm but we got delayed by 1/2 hour searching for a parking space.

At first, the kids were ecstatic when we got there and showed their full support to dear 'abah'. However, that just lasted for about 15 minutes!!!!!. Soon, they nagged me for ice-cream and wish to retire to the nearby cafe.

In the hope of getting hubby to have better focus on his play, I obliged. Unfortunately, their 'ice-cream' turned out to be ice-cream + fried nice + nasi lemak + milk shake etc. If only I knew!!!!

The cafe was quite nice and located next to several aquariums. Hazim, my eldest made a remark about a fish that he thought was quite lazy. The conversation went like this:

Hazim: Mama, kenapa ikan tu malas saja?
Me(concentrating on my novel): ikan tu tengah cuti.
Hazim: Mama, bertuahnya ikan tu. Tak macam abang, esok dah nak kena sekolah, qiraati lagi, nak buat homework lagi etc. Bestnya hidup ikan tu... Kalau lah hidup abang macam tu.
Me (no longer looking at the book): Errm...

By the time we finished the meals, the tournament just ended. So, I missed most of the game :(.

Anyway, I'm proud of you sayang. Though you may not win any prizes that afternoon but I am sure you have enjoyed the game :).
